A Historical Perspective Of The College of Education For Human Sciences
College of Education for Human Sciences was established in Diyala governorate at (1994-1995) within Al-Mustansiriyah University configuration with the following departments (Arabic, English, and History) . At the academic year(1996-1998), departments of Geography and Physical Education were originated. The latter was the corner stone of the college of Physical Education and Sport Sciences which was established at (1997-1998). This academic year has also witnessed the establishment of the department of Educational and Psychological Sciences and the department of Biology. The academic year (1999-2000) has witnessed the establishment of the department of Law which was later developed into the College of Law at (2002-2003). Departments of Computer Sciences and Chemistry were established at the academic year (2002-2003) and the department of Quantic Sciences and Islamic Education at (2008-2009). Evening Study was originated at the department of Arabic at (1996-1997), at the departments of English and Geography at (1997-1998), at the departments of History and biology at (1998-1999), at the department of Computer Sciences at (2003-2004) and at the department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at (2008-2009).
The committee of Diyala University decided to divide the college into scientific departments in the College of Education (Al-Razi) and the humanities at the College of Education (Al-Asma'ai). Master studies were established at the academic year 2000-2001 at the departments of Arabic, History and Geography and at 2002-2003 at the departments of English and Psychological Sciences. Doctoral studies were established at 2010-2011 at the departments of Arabic and Geography and at 2011-2012 at the department of Psychology.
At the academic year 2011-2012, all the colleges of education in Iraq were unified in name and this college was entitled as the College of Education for Human Sciences. This college publishes a periodic journal entitled as " Journal of Diyala" for human researches at 1997. This college depends on the annual system of study in all its departments.
